Christopher Coppola toVisit Broadview Entertainment Arts University; Introduce Project Accessible Hollywood (PAH) Festival

SALT LAKE CITY ? February 27, 2012 ? Hollywood film and television director Christopher Coppola will visit Broadview Entertainment Arts University, or BEAU, on ?Tuesday, February 28 to introduce his Project Accessible Hollywood (PAH) festival to Salt Lake. Christopher, son of Francis Ford Coppola, will speak and answer questions from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. According to the senior Coppola, ?Christopher is alive with ideas and new approaches in education, the arts and media. His PAH endeavors have spread around the world, and his various enterprises never fail to entertain and inspire.?
PAH FEST?to be held May 16-20, 2012?is designed to connect cultures and communities through digital media. Participants use new media technology such as digital cameras,
sound equipment and cell phones to produce short films that celebrate the voices and stories of everyday people. The public and media are invited to come to BEAU on Tuesday when Coppola will answer questions and drum up interest for the upcoming festival.
Project Accessible Hollywood represents the evolving connection between the entertainment industry, the general public, educational institutions and the convergence of digital media technologies. Tools used to create entertainment productions are now more accessible to people outside of the industry but many are unaware how to use the technology to tell their story. PAH FEST is an opportunity to connect with industry experts to learn how to make compelling productions.
Broadview Entertainment Arts University is home to a variety of applied visual arts, production arts and entertainment business programs. The university is designed to create a culture of creativity that engages imaginative students from several programs to work together to learn the skills necessary to take part in the emerging digital art workspace.
