A Look at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Fall 2012 Menu | Foodbeast

Last week, I got the chance to head down to the new Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf location in Huntington Beach, Calif. to try their fall drink offerings?available through November?and while there wasn?t anything particularly ?buzz-worthy? anywhere in the line, CB&TL definitely knows what it?s doing, and knows how to do it well.

Take a gander:

Chocolate and Amaretto Espresso Con Pannas:?two shots of espresso and a thick layer of chocolate or amaretto sauce topped with whipped cream,?available either to-go (not as pretty) or drink-in (just the right amount of pretty?pictured) for $3.15.

Pumpkin and Amaretto Lattes and Ice Blendeds: one familiar and one not-so familiar fall flavor, but each completely worth every single creamy calorie; available from 12 through 32 ounces (for the Ice Blendeds), $3.75 to $6.35.

(Not pictured: Amaretto Latte)

Black Currant Jasmine Tea: an acceptable autumnal tribute for the (seasonally neglected) tea drinker in your life, featuring Pouchong Oolong blended with jasmine flowers and other all natural flavors; each sale of the ~$10 retail tin also sends $1 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Get Giving.

And finally, the Peanut Butter and Jelly Cupcake: baked fresh every morning and delivered to each location, this yellow cupcake topped with peanut butter icing and raspberry jam was surprisingly mild and a solid dessert to round a hard morning of driving and tasting and stuff.

?

While visiting, I also caught wind of a new, ?never before done? drink flavor in the works in commemoration of CB&TL?s?50th anniversary next year, but, as is the way, that spark was quickly killed by the food media embargo gods.

In the meantime, I can say at least that the new fall drinks and goods (as well as the new-ish, surf-inspired HB location) are definitely worth popping in for. Let the holiday season binging commence.

Dominique would be a foodie if she had money to pay for food. For now, she gets by just looking at food photography, which results in at least one more starving journalism student every time Instagram breaks down.
